Card Database Reference Overview
TCG Inventory ships two related but different tools for exploring card data beyond your own collection:
- TCG Database (
/tcg-database, in your account menu) — browse and filter every card in the system's reference database, for any of the 7 supported games, regardless of whether you own it. It uses the same filters, sorting, grid, and detail view as your Collection page, just without the collection-only filters (box, section, condition, "in decks") and without an Export/Stats toolbar. - TCG Reference (
/docs, also in your account menu) — a set of explanatory pages, one per game, covering the card schema (what each field means), icon/symbol glossaries, set lists, and game-specific terminology. This is closer to a glossary than a live database browser.
Choosing a game on TCG Reference
The hub shows a logo tile for each of the seven supported games — Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, and Flesh and Blood. Select any tile to open that game's reference page.
Each game's page uses roughly the same structure: an annotated example card, a table explaining every field in that card's schema, and then glossaries for colors/types/rarities/mechanics specific to that game. The following pages summarize each one — for the full field-by-field tables and complete set lists, open the page in the app itself, since some of these tables (like One Piece's set list or Magic's ~950 sets) are too long to fully reproduce here.
Browsing the live database
Open TCG Database to search and filter across the full card pool the same way you would your own collection — useful for checking a card's printings and details before you own it, planning what to look for, or double-checking a match while reviewing a scan.
