Yu-Gi-Oh!

The Yu-Gi-Oh! reference page (/docs/yugioh) is a static glossary built around an example card (Dark Magician).

What's on the page

  • Example card — Dark Magician with its attribute grid and description called out
  • Card Structure — the 12 core schema fields, including its 8-digit Passcode (unique identifier), Type, ATK/DEF, and Link Markers for Link Monsters
  • Attributes — the seven monster attributes: DARK, EARTH, FIRE, LIGHT, WATER, WIND, DIVINE
  • Races & Types — a three-column grid covering monster races (21, e.g. Aqua, Beast, Zombie) and spell/trap subtypes (Normal, Field, Equip, Continuous, Quick-Play, Ritual for spells; Counter for traps)
  • Card Types — a sample of the nine broad card types (Normal Monster, Effect Monster, and others, through Trap Card) — the page notes the full list lives in the database schema
  • Special Mechanics — an explanation of Pendulum monsters and Link monsters
  • Data Sources — import notes and headline database statistics (around 13,900 cards and 41,700 card-set associations at last import)

Attributes, races, and types are all shown as plain text badges rather than icons on this page.
