Card Finder

Card Finder (/boxes/stacks) solves a very physical problem: "I know which card I'm looking for — where is it actually sitting inside my boxes?" It renders each section of a box or deck as a scrollable, stacked pile of cards — much like flipping through cards stacked in a real box — so you can search by name, highlight the exact card, and see precisely which section and position it's in.

Choosing a box or deck​

Use the selector at the top of the page to pick which box or deck to browse. If you don't have any boxes yet, you'll be prompted to create one first.

Searching for a card​

Type a card name into the search box. Matching results appear in a dropdown — select Jump next to any result to scroll straight to it and highlight it with a colored ring. Select Clear highlight to remove the highlight without losing your place.

Reading the stacks​

Each section is shown as its own vertical column:

  • The section's index, name, and card count
  • Cards stacked so each one's name strip peeks out above the next, similar to physical cards in a box
  • An Open link that takes you to the full section grid (see Boxes and Decks)
  • If a section has more cards than the display cap, you'll see "showing first N of total" — very large sections load in full automatically once you search for or link directly to a card inside them

Box overview​

The Box layout maps sections onto a 4-row cardboard storage box so you can see where each section sits physically. Piles are sized by card count along each row (about 1,140 unsleeved TCG cards per row). Sections fill down Lane 1 from back to front, then Lane 2. Search a card while this layout is selected to highlight that section and its position in the box. Select a section to drill into the stacks view for that pile. The same box also opens on the main Boxes page when you click a storage box.

Adjusting the view​

Two controls in the header let you tune the display to match how you'd read a physical stack:

  • Thickness ruler — show the pile's scale in centimeters, inches, position numbers, or hide it entirely. The ruler approximates roughly 3 cards per millimeter.
  • Stack density — Compact (name strip only), Default (standard spacing), or Spacious (see more of each card).
  • List — count down positions in one section.
  • Box — photoreal storage-box overview; click a section to open its stack.

The page URL supports parameters so you can link straight to a specific card or position — for example, opening a card's detail view elsewhere in the app and choosing "Card Finder" takes you here already scrolled to the right spot.
