Plans & Shopping
Scanning requires an active scanning tier. Your tier powers the Card Butler machine and the cloud card-recognition engine that identifies each card’s name, set, language, and foiling as it’s scanned.
How tiers work
You have one scanning tier at a time — not a stack of separate packs.
| Idea | What it means |
|---|---|
| One tier per account | Free, Emerald, Bronze, Silver, or Gold — only one fuel tier is active. |
| Monthly scans (paid) | Emerald–Silver include a set number of scans per month. Unused scans reset at the end of each month. Paying annually still gives the same monthly allotment. Gold is unlimited. |
| Free packs | Each Free pack is 250 scans. You get 1 free pack per month, can buy more for $3 / pack or a 12-pack for $28.80 (20% off), and use them when you need. |
| Empty → upgrade | When a paid tier runs out, you’re nudged to upgrade to the next better tier. On Free, you can claim your free pack, buy another Free, or upgrade to Emerald. |
| Hardware | The physical Card Butler scanner is sold separately from subscription fuel. |

This page shows your current tier, remaining scans (or unlimited), and related history.
- Current / ready fuel — the tier that powers new scans.
- History — past or replaced tiers after upgrades.
If you’re out of scans, use the upgrade nudge (or Get Additional Plans) to open the Webshop with the next tier highlighted.
Webshop (/webshop)
The in-app store for scanning fuel (flask shelf) and, where shown, hardware. Reachable from the sidebar.
Pick a flask, choose Monthly or Annual billing, then checkout through Stripe. Digital fuel purchases include a short waiver before payment because the service is available immediately after purchase.
On success you land on the order confirmation page; your account’s tier updates so credits apply right away.
