Machines
Inventorize → Machines (/machines) lists every scanning machine linked to your account and lets you monitor, rename, or unlink them. For first-time hardware setup and pairing your machine to your account, see Account Setup.
Machine status
Each machine card polls its live status every 15 seconds (every 10 seconds on the detail page) and shows one of:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Running | Actively scanning |
| Paused | Scan session paused (often because the tray is full) |
| Stopping | Ending its current session |
| Ready | Online and idle, ready to start a scan |
| Offline | Not responding — check its power and Wi-Fi connection |
Additional badges appear alongside the main status: whether the tray is loaded or empty, whether a session is currently active, Wi-Fi signal strength (Excellent/Good/Fair/Weak), and any error indicator. Hovering the status badge shows a detailed tooltip with the exact state, SSID, IP address, signal strength in dBm, and the last error if any.
Adding a machine
Select Add a machine at the top of the list (this panel is auto-expanded if you have no machines yet) to see the six-step setup tutorial and registration form — the full walkthrough is in Account Setup.
Machine details
Selecting a machine opens its detail page, where you can:
- Rename it inline (hover the name for a pencil icon)
- See its scan history — up to three recent scans at a time, with a "View N more" button to load the rest, each linking straight to that scan
- Jump to Start a New Scan if it has no scan history yet, or View All Scans if it does
- Unlink Machine — a two-step confirmation (select once, then confirm "Yes, Unlink Machine") permanently removes the machine from your account. Existing scans stay in your history; only the machine link is removed, and this cannot be undone.
:::note What you won't find here There currently aren't any remote maintenance controls on these pages — no "clear image chamber," restart, or firmware update buttons, and no Wi-Fi reconfiguration screen (Wi-Fi is set during the on-device pairing steps only). Live Pause / Resume / End controls for an in-progress scan live on that scan's own detail page, not here — see Starting & Reviewing a Scan. :::
Troubleshooting
- Machine shows Offline — confirm it's powered on and connected to your home Wi-Fi. If it was recently moved or your network changed, you may need to re-pair it using the on-device setup steps in Account Setup.
- Registration code won't verify — codes expire; make sure the device's LED is steady (indicating it's on your Wi-Fi) and request a new code from its setup page.
- Can't start a scan — the machine must show as online in the scan setup wizard's scanner list; offline machines can't be selected.
