CardTrader
Trader publishes into your CardTrader seller account. TCG Inventory never lists on a shared platform account. The platform CardTrader token used for price imports is a different secret and is never used to create products.
Settings that look similar
| Place | What it does |
|---|---|
| Settings → Collection → Price Source → Card Trader | Which guide the app displays (Low / Average / High in EUR). Does not list cards |
| Settings → Marketplaces → Card Trader | Your seller API token. Required to publish, reprice, and pull orders |
Connect the seller token even if Collection already shows Card Trader prices.
Connect your account
CardTrader has no OAuth. In your CardTrader profile, open API, copy the personal token, then in TCG Inventory:
- Open Settings → Marketplaces.
- Paste the token.
- Choose the listing currency you sell in (EUR by default). Prices are sent as decimals in that currency.
- Connect account. We call CardTrader
GET /infofirst; a bad token is not stored.
The token is stored encrypted. Settings only ever shows the last four characters.
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Test connection | Re-checks the stored token and clears or writes the last error |
| Disconnect | Forgets the token. Products already on CardTrader stay live |
| Treat unknown languages as English | Off by default. CardTrader requires a language on every product. When a scan recorded none, we skip that copy unless you turn this on |
A wrong language is a dispute risk. Leave the fallback off unless you know the unscanned copies are English.
What we send
Each published copy becomes (or joins) a CardTrader Product:
- Blueprint from our catalog mapping — we never guess a blueprint
- Condition, language, foil (and game-specific properties)
- Your accepted price
user_data_field= the scanned copy id, so we can match it later
Identical blueprint + properties merge into one Product with a quantity. A playset is one CardTrader Product and four rows in our listing ledger.
Copies we cannot list are skipped (no blueprint, no grade, no language when the fallback is off). The listing shows those row errors.
Supported for live publish today: Magic, Pokémon, One Piece, and Star Wars Unlimited. Flesh and Blood can list when a typed price exists. Lorcana and Yu-Gi-Oh wait on catalog mappings.
Jobs
Publish, reprice, and unlist are queued. A background job submits the CardTrader bulk request and polls until it finishes. The job table on the listing shows queued → submitted → polling → completed or failed, plus ok / warning / error counts.
If a job fails, fix the row errors (language, mapping, already listed) and publish the rest. We do not create a second Product for a copy that already has an active listing.
Orders
Paid CardTrader sales (and CardTrader Zero hub-pending items) become take-out orders while you have Trader open — we do not poll CardTrader all day for idle accounts. Open Trader → Take out and use Check CardTrader orders if the sale is not there yet, or after you were away. The take-out keeps the buyer, ship-to, packing number, and line prices for a packing slip. After you pick, mark a direct sale shipped from that page — do not ship weekly CardTrader Zero hub packs from here. See Take-out.
One live channel
A copy listed on CardTrader is taken off the Community Shop. The Listed and Reserved views show a CardTrader channel badge so you can see where each article is offered.
